We arrived at the airport in Frankfurt around 12:40 pm (local time). We made our way to the trains, and took a train to Mainz, then another train to Koblenz. We checked into the hotel, freshened up a bit and headed to the gondola (Seilbahn), which took us up to Ehrenbreitstein fortress (in the background of the picture) for a public viewing of the Germany-Ghana soccer game. We watched a little bit of the game there, but since no one could see the screen, we left and found a small Biergarten right on the Rhein river where they were also showing the game on a big screen. There were seats available and we could all see the screen - we stayed until the end of the game and headed back to our hotel.
